Great question! Clients with Dedicated Editors:

Clients with Dedicated Editors can also receive editing as low as $0.50-$1.00 per image! (cost per image is variable based on the volume, shooting style, and editing requirements)

What is the cost per image with a Dedicated Editor?

With a Dedicated Editor, you pay one flat fee per month in order to have access to your editor 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Your editor is able to edit as much as possible during this time.

Based on your volume and the speed of your Dedicated Editor, you can receive editing as low as $0.50-$1.00 per image.

Editing speed for a Dedicated Editor is determined by your shooting style, editing requirements, and volume of images.

How many images can my Dedicated Editor get through?

On average, a Dedicated Editor can typically edit:

  • Around 75 credits/shift
  • Around 1,500 credits per month!
  • On average, that’s 3 batches per shift, depending on the size of the batch and the shooting/editing style
When does my Dedicated Editor work?

Dedicated Editors can work one one of our three shift schedules:

  • AM Shift: 6:00 pm – 2:00 am EST
  • PM Shift: 2:00 am – 10:00 am EST
  • GY Shift: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm EST

Dedicated Editors must work in 8 hour time blocks, but shift schedules can be flexible based on the needs of the client and the flexibility of the editor.

Can my Dedicated Editor work overtime?

Yes! Should you require your virtual assistant staff member to work additional hours above and beyond their set shift schedule, overtime will be billed at a rate of $12.00 per hour. Overtime must be approved by both the Client and the staff member.

What is the turnaround time with a Dedicated Editor?

Each Dedicated Editor will work an 8 hour shift, 5 days per week. Your turnaround time will be based on when your editor works and how many images they are able to process in any given shift.

If your editor can’t finish all of your edits in one shift, no problem! You have the ability to overflow your remaining edits to the PhotoUp editing team.

How much does a Dedicated Editor cost per month?

Our standard cost for a Dedicated Editor is $1,369/month ($7.94/hour) with a 12 month contract. This will give you access to one editor 8 hours/day, 5 days/week.

How much volume do I need to shoot to hire a Dedicated Editor?

If you are shooting anywhere from 2-3+ homes per day, a dedicated editor is a great option!

However, if you don’t have that volume yet, you can still hire a Dedicated Editor! Your editor can also help you with other VA tasks, including: lead generation, email marketing, social media management, and more!

Can I send back revisions with a Dedicated Editor?

Yes, all clients are able to request unlimited free revisions for up to 4 days after photos have been delivered. Please make sure to rate your batch accordingly and send appropriate feedback when requesting revisions.

Can I still send images to the normal PhotoUp editing team?

Absolutely! With a Dedicated Editor, you have the ability to assign batches to your editor(s) OR send images to the PhotoUp editing team.

This option is available in any account that has a Dedicated Editor.

What type and size of files are delivered once the edits are complete?

At PhotoUp we offer you three free export options in our uploader allowing you to have your files delivered at full size, high res, web res, and with or without a watermark.

We also offer three file options:

JPG 70 is a slightly more compressed version of a normal JPG. It is perfectly fine for all web use and most print use.

JPG 100 is as uncompressed as a JPG file can be, meaning it is both larger in size and contains more data. Choose this file type if you want a higher quality image for larger prints or if you wish to do any additional editing to your images after you receive them back from us.

TIFF files are uncompressed images, containing all the data from all levels of editing that has been done. This is the file type you should select if you want the maximum amount of flexibility for future editing.

What software does my Dedicated Editor use when editing photos?

At PhotoUp, we use the following software when editing your images:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Lightroom
  • LR/Enfuse

With a Dedicated Editor, you are able to add additional software to your editors workstation. However, software that requires an additional expense will be billed at the expense of the client.

Do I need to use the PhotoUp system for uploading?

With a Dedicated Editor, you can use the PhotoUp uploader or choose another system to upload photos directly to your editor.
